Samenvatting project
The goal is to develop the knowledge and technology to extract starch and glucose from oil palm trunks in a mobile factory and test the use of starch and glucose in food & non-food applications including veneer glue and bioplastics. Trunks contain 2 to 6 ton of starch per hectare at replanting, concentrated in the top. Using this starch and glucose avoids growing crops to produce starch and glucose, spared and indirectly deforestation. This illustrates the power of circular agri-residue use
