Current agri-food processes generate millions of tons of side streams still containing valuable components. Underutilization causes food waste and associated social, economic and environmental impacts. SIDEAID aims to help the industry facing valorisation challenges by developing an AI-based decision support framework based on a comprehensive knowledge graph relating side streams, components, functionalities, processing steps, applications, environmental aspects and potential industries.
