Samenvatting project
After harvesting arable crops, pathogens can survive in the crop residues left. This project evaluates the role of crop residues on fungal pathogen survival. Practices will be assessed for reducing pathogenic populations in these residues: mechanical processing and treatments with microbial decomposers competitors, and side streams from mushroom, insect and sugar beet industries. Treatments will accelerate residues decomposition and steer resident microbial population in detriment of pathogens.
