RECIPE: Recommender Engine for Complete Individualised Plant-rich Eating
This project aims to facilitate protein quality optimisations for dietitians and chefs in hospitals and care institutions via
artificial intelligence (AI) driven automated recommendations considering protein quality, food pairing, and sustainability.
Thereby this project aims to improve the protein adequacy of sustainable meals in at least 25 hospitals and at least 25
elderly care institutions in Denmark and the Netherlands. In this way, the project will contribute to the acceleration of a safe
and sound transition towards more sustainable diets within healthcare settings, by addressing important barriers.
This project primarily addresses Theme 2 (Public Awareness of Healthy Sustainable Diets via Effective Consumer Engagement
and Education) and secondary Theme 1 (Product Development). It aligns with AgriFoodTure roadmap track ‘Plant-based Food
Production’.
